My work explores the forms of fossils which morph into imaginary ambiguous landscapes.
Each canvas is built up in layers which show the history and exploration of colour and light used to produce a richness to the surface of my paintings.
By floating dramatic shapes across the surface and creating a tension between the background and surface I aim to create landscapes for the eye to explore
